This is a great site! The more who join in, the more impact it(we) will have.
There is lots going on in the world of sociocracy right now.
- The Sociocratic Centrum in Holland is moving towards a more formal structure.
- Recently, in the USA, John Buck and Sharon Villines started the North American Centre for Sociocratic Governance.
- Slightly up North, in the Yukon (this is where I live and work), Yukon College has been experimenting with Sociocracy as a method of making decisions and organizing ourselves. Things are moving along quite well.
- In June 2010, Yukon College, in partnership with the North American Centre for Sociocratic Governance will host an International Conference on Dynamic Governance, titled:
The River Flows Both Ways: A New Era of Organizational Governance. The aim is to share the principles of Dynamic governance with the Yukon Community at large, as well as allow people from around the world the chance to connect, learn, network, and share. There will be a website soon for that conference (within a couple of weeks... check it out for regular updates)
- In Quebec, l'école internationale des chefs (
International School for Leaders) is growing and training more and more current and future leaders to adopt Dynamic governance as an internal, and organizational mode of governance. I am currently going through the course and it is fantastic!
- I also keep a blog on Dynamic governance, at:
http://dynamicgovernance.blogspot.com/ . I am taking a break for a few weeks but will resume posting as soon as I have had time to rest and enjoy a few weeks of holidays.
I look forward to seeing the activity on this site and will work hard at promoting it!
Cheers!
